A Life of True Spiritual Integrity

Like spiritual maturation, integrity is built slowly over a lifetime. It is a precious thing - difficult to build and yet easy to tear down. As faithful followers of Jesus Christ, we are to seek to live each day with the discipline of honesty and faith. When we do, at least two things happen: integrity becomes a habit, and God blesses us because of our obedience to Him.

A Time to Rest

Our Heavenly Father expects us to work hard, however, He also intends for us to take a moment to rest. When we fail to take the rest that we need, we do a disservice to ourselves and to our families.

Let God Direct Thy Path

What we are to do is to always seek the counsel and wisdom of our Heavenly Father. To go into prayer and meditation to focus on those things that are a priority. To give our day and life unto God. And it includes time where we read and meditate on the scriptures.

Humbled by the Cost of His Sacrifice

We ought to be humbled as Christ humbled himself. The cost of our discipleship may never match the cost of Christ's sacrifice. However, our cost of discipleship is our worthy attitude and behavior as we become living sacrifices unto God through faithful obedience (Romans 12:1-2).

Blessings of Cultivating a Fellowship

Association with others helps us strengthen our testimony, encourages one another, celebrate one another's victories and blessings, pray for one another's needs, and shoulder one another's burden's where we mourn with those who mourn.

Choosing Wisely and Courageously

As genuine believers and disciples of Jesus Christ, when we willingly make those choices that are pleasing to our Heavenly Father, we are blessed. Choices that draw us closer to Christ and walk in his footsteps gives us a life that is full of abundance and peace. A life of abundance and peace that are promised to each one of us.

We are Equipped to Serve

We are created in His image and likeness - and it is our core responsibility and duty to maintain a healthy body. For, when we maintain a healthy body, we maintain a healthy and sober mindset. When we maintain a sober and healthy mindset, we will maintain a healthy and vital spiritual life where we improve in our relationships, maintain healthy finances, and anchor ourselves in the discipline of keeping fit to serve our Heavenly Father.

How Christ’s Love Changes Everything

The pure love of Christ is not above obedience to the commandments and will of God. It is inseparable with our call to faithfully obey the will of God and all that he has commanded us. It is also greater than our faith. It requires us to be humble and contrite in our spirit. Keeping us fixed on the way to minister, associate, and develop and grow into a Christ-like character and nature.

A Person of Faith Shall Overcome

Our willingness to trust God today and every day that we live, entrusting ourselves in Christ, we are rest assured that our future is secure. Confident that He will provide our needs temporally and spiritually.

Rise to your Potential

Rising to my own personal potential means that I put the plan in action. That I take the necessary steps and follow through. This requires my level of motivation and commitment regarding my desire and intent. By putting forth my best effort - my Heavenly Father will bring about those blessings.

The Supreme Climb

As we grow in faith, increase in truth and life, move from grace to grace - we come to a greater knowledge and understanding of Christ and the Father. The more we submit ourselves over to the care of God, as we understand Him, we strengthen our faith, our resilience, and are able to endure that much more.

Step Two

As for me and my own personal journey and recovery - for my own spiritual growth and mindful living - I choose to consistently and continually to trust in Christ and know who God, my Eternal Father is, and have the guidance and companion of the Holy Spirit. So long as I commit myself over to those spiritual disciplines that help me gain greater awareness, peace of mind, and restoring me to a place of spiritual health and well-being.

Don’t Hurt the Lord

This calls my attention to the reality of being mindful and allowing myself to experience the presence of the Spirit in my life. Experiencing the Holy Spirit, the presence of my Heavenly Father is not something that needs to occur in the future. It is something that I have access to in the present moment.

Critical Parent

Though we may be adults physically, we may perceive ourselves as children who have had to carry burdens we ought to have never carried. And while the program offers us the hope of learning how to parent that inner child, I rest on the reality and faith that it is by coming to my Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, as a humbled child who is broken, living in fear, and feeling inadequate to receive the blessing and promise of healing. It is through the Holy Spirit that comfort is felt.

Today’s Reading and Meditation: Betrayal, Blame, and Fear

I learned that to fully heal from the wounds of childhood experiences - I must embrace and speak my truth without feeling a sense of betrayal, blame, or fear. To speak my truth means embracing what I have experienced as part of my heritage and legacy. Accept the truth that my parents carried on the legacy of their own dysfunction learned growing in a home environment lacking care, validation, autonomy, and healthy perceptions and perspectives.

Hurrying the Will of God

We are called to endure patiently. Live out our course. And seek faithfully to live out the principle truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through those covenants we make along the way. It is also accomplished when we desire to seek after the will of God for our own lives.

Assurance of Faith while Waiting Upon the Lord

Our faith in Jesus Christ is a motivation for us to continue to increase in our spiritual growth and faith. The more we increase in our faith the more we receive in blessings, inheritances, and fulfillment of promises. Some of those promises may be delayed.

King of Righteousness and Peace

Like all other faithful predecessors (Adam on down to Noah) the priesthood authority after the order of the Son of God continued to be faithfully preserved. It is the order of which Christ is referred to as our High Priest.

A Greater Follower of Righteousness

There is much conflict in our culture and society today. Each one of us are exposed to warring factions. And it is quite disheartening and troubling to our hearts and minds. Yet we are promised by our Heavenly Father to experience the joy and peace the Everlasting Gospel provides us (John 14:27). A life of abundance because of Christ's infinite atonement (John 10:10).

The Symbolism of the Tower of Babel

The invitation for us to place our faith in Christ, repent and seek forgiveness for our sins and trespasses, and willingly to deny ourselves and lose our lives for the sake of Christ is an invitation to enter into sacred covenants through those true ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Signs, Tokens, Symbols and Covenants

Today, we make sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father. Those covenants we make bare the signs, tokens, and symbols that help remind us of those sacred covenants. These signs, tokens, and symbols not only help remind us of our Heavenly Father's grace and faithfulness toward us, but it also reminds us of our willingness to continually seek Him and conform to His will for our lives.

The Lord’s Spirit Shall Not Always Strive with Man

Thus, to have the Lord's Spirit strive with us means that we are willing to allow the Holy Spirit to rule over our hearts and minds. To judge us and guide us into those moral truths of our Heavenly Father. It is therefore to this end that we understand how the Holy Spirit is limited to how long it will strive with us - as we make our sojourn and pilgrimage through this mortal existence.
