It means that the bridge between mortality and immortality and eternal life begins in the Garden, carried to the Cross as the climax, and the culmination of fulfillment of the Plan of Salvation where Christ rose from the grave after three days. It is fitting in this sense to understand the deep meaning when Christ said - It is finished. Meaning, he has completed the mission and work the father had sent him to do. He provided the necessary sacrifice and atonement so that we may experience eternal life with our Heavenly Father.
Christ humbled himself before the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane. Humbled himself before Pontius Pilate when being judged. Christ, even, humbled himself before the crowd who roared loudly to have Barnabas released instead of Christ.
The time is now to determine if you will receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ or to reject it. By accepting the love of Christ, we will build a lifelong relationship with Him. Or if we shall turn away from Him and take a different path that leads to misery and death.
A recent YouTube Video produced by God Loves Mormons appears to be a response to the idea and teaching that Latter-day Saint Families are an eternal principle and truth. It is only when we are faithful to the basic principle doctrine of Christ that we are able to call others unto repentance and forgiveness. Meaning, we ought to give ourselves over to walking in forgiveness and repentance daily. Otherwise, we are merely criticizing, judging, and condemning others while ignoring the transgressions and sins in our own life (Matthew 7:1-3, 5).
The enticing of the spirit of God or the spirit of the adversary is constant and consistent. Over time, we learn how to choose one over the other. If we choose the right, we are putting on the righteousness of Christ and patterning our lives after his.
This is the great plan of Salvation whereby our Heavenly Father brings to pass the immortality and eternal life of each one of us. Attached to this is our liberty and freedom of choice. Whether we choose to walk in humility, submission, and obedience to the laws and principal doctrines of God’s revealed truth - we shall inherit eternal life. Christ himself said that those who endure as He has endured shall be granted permission to sit on the throne with Him as he sits on the Throne with the Father
It is through our humility and submission to our Heavenly Father where he will bless and use us for his holy purposes
Much like the Israelites, we are wandering in the wilderness and desert of life. Seeking freedom from those things that have us bound. Sin enslaves us, pressing upon us, and the more we resist, the weaker we seemed to become. Our Heavenly Father sent His Only Begotten Son to free us from the snares of sin and death. The Apostle Paul writes to the Romans wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin so also does life come from the infinite atonement of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:12-19).
Faith is the driving factor to us going forward into this new year with purpose and meaning. The Apostle Paul taught that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). And in Alma 32:21 we read that ...faith is not to have perfect knowledge of things;

The greatest deception of one who is living an active and sinful lifestyle is one who is imprisoned by their own denial. In essence, we lack the awareness and fortitude to admit there is something wrong with us. Because of this, we build systematic defenses to protect ourselves from the reality of our condition. For the alcoholic and addict, this defense system protects them from an awareness they have an inherent problem with drugs, alcohol, and/or other addictive behaviors.
